| Description: | This is a 60 hour course that prepares the advanced welder to pass the AWS MIG welding vertical certification. In addition to training on the vertical MIG welding skill, the student will learn to TIG weld. These combination of skills are critical to make the welder more marketable. The student will be expected to spend nearly all of his time welding in this class. There is very little book work. The key to successful preparation for the AWS vertical certification is proper practice of proven techniques. The student will receive constant over-the-shoulder instruction. The student will have to have completed welding 1, have and AWS 1G certification or 2 years of welding experience to enroll in this class. |
