Precision Metalworking I & II and Intro to CNC Programming #7767

Description: The first course is basic metalworking I. The focus is on learning the basics of machine shop equipment operation.

The student will learn how to manually operate the mill, lathe and surface grinders to manufacture low volume, mild detail parts. The student will spend 80% of the time on the shop equipment and 20% on reference material.

The second class is Advanced Metalworking II. The student will master the use of the machine shop tools and advance to making highly detailed parts using sophisticated blueprints and manufacturing techniques. These courses are designed to give the student a complete knowledge of how machine shop equipment can be manipulated manually to manufacture parts.

The third course is CNC programming. Upon completion of the manual courses, the student will learn how to program the machine to manufacture the parts in a high production, repeat process. The student will learn CNC G code along with conversational programming. This is not just an operator’s course.
